Malaysia gets official prices on tablets and accessories

Call this an official release of sorts. The Zensation marketing campaign has seen stops at various countries. This time it was Malaysia’s turn. Although the ZenPad C 7.0 has been available to buy already, we have more details on prices and accessories.

Adding to the ZenPad C 7.0, you will be able to buy the ZenPad 7.0 (Z370C) in Malaysia, along with the full gamut of accessories. What’s particularly unique to Malaysia is the fact the Z370C will come bundled with 2 free Zen Case covers. The color combinations of silver/blue, black/silver or white/orange are available.

Prices:

  • ZenPad C 7.0 (Z170CG) with 3G phone functionality – RM 599 or as low as RM 479
  • ZenPad C 7.0 (Z170C) – RM 499 or as low as RM 439
  • ZenPad 7.0 (Z370C) – RM 749

If you have questions about the ZenPad S 8.0, we’re sorry to say we do not have any answers just yet. We hope to update with news of the Z580C and or Z580CA coming to Malaysia, although we simply don’t know Asus’ plans at this point.

Where to buy the Z580CA? Good question.

Trust us when we say that we appreciate the interest in the hero tablet from Asus, the Z580CA. At the outset this appeared to be miles ahead of the other ZenPad offerings, said with the utmost of respect to the other tablets.

As of August 26, 2015 in the United States, it appears SOLD OUT. Or “temporarily out of stock” if you prefer.

The fact is, the main retailers are not showing stock. More than that though, there aren’t any backorder or pre order (add to cart) buttons to click. This is a slightly confusing situation.

We do know that Amazon.com is shipping out Z580CA tablets that have been ordered and pre ordered. So they are right now fulfilling those orders. However, they certainly are not taking new orders. Usually you would see an order now button, with the disclaimer that it’s not in stock but will ship to you soon. There isn’t that option right now even so what gives?

It would certainly appear on the surface that the Z580CA did better than anticipated. It may indicate that people are willing to update their tablets when the right model comes along at the right price point. Even with the ZenPad 10 or cheaper ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580C), people simply want the most premium model of the ZenPad line-up.

So we do promise to update the site the second we find any Z580CA tablets shipping and in-stock. This could be at any moment honestly. If you live outside the US, take this as good information. If you are thinking about buying this model, then pre ordering seems like a good option. The interest shown towards the Z580CA in the US is likely the same situation in most parts of the world. We can say that the emails we get, most times it’s about the availability of the Z580CA.

We’ve spotted a first listing in the US for the Asus Z Stylus and it’s available for pre order. The price is $29.99. What we can’t say for certain is the release date/shipping date.

Hero ZenPad Z580CA now available in Taiwan

zenpad-s8-z580ca-017As we expected there are no shortages of different configurations (we like to call these variants) of the hero ZenPad S 8.0 Z580CA tablet. The Asus Taiwan Facebook page announced the availability of the Z580CA and here are the details!

There are 2 variants available. One comes with 64GB storage and 4GB of RAM, and costs NT$9,990. The less expensive variant comes with 32GB storage and 4GB of RAM, and costs NT$8,990. Both these variants are available in either white or black color and all models have the powerhouse Intel Atom Z3850 (2.3GHz) processor on board.

Considering the ZenPad tablets have a microSD slot, paying less for a version with 32GB would make sense to a lot of people. It’s unclear whether Europe or North America will have the choice for a 32GB model at this point.

If you’re curious about the accessories, like the TriCover or Z Stylus, fear not. Taiwan does not have those available either for the ZenPad S 8.0 series.

Feel lucky Germany, this is the first white ZenPad S 8.0 that we’ve seen listed anywhere! If you’re not sure about paying EUR 349,00 for a tablet, then you can choose from many other models available in the German market. Many variations of the other models like the ZenPad 8.0 and ZenPad 10 are also up for pre order. In fact at the time of writing there are 39 different model/color variations available to buy in Germany! We’ve just added a new article with all the ZenPad prices in EURO.
