Software update (V4.3.2.0) rolls out for ZenPad Z580CA

Asus continues to update their software on the ZenPad tablets. The ZenPad S 8.0 is now seeing a new update to V4.3.2.0 which is 1.25Gbytes and officially rolled out on November 6. We currently see this update for the WW SKU, but expect to see this for other region models in the coming days.

This appears to be more of a general performance and stability update because there are not real specifics. One thing to note though is that after running the update you will have to re-enable your Z Stylus via settings if you’re using that accessory.

Enhance system performance and stability

Has anyone noticed anything specific improving after this update?

Asus ZenPad 10 (Z300C) Review

Model: Z300C-A1-BK (P023)
Software Version: WW_V4.4.1.0-20151027

asus-zenpad-10

In mid 2015, Asus rolled out the new ZenPad brand which has ultimately replaced the existing Android tablet branding such as MeMO Pad and Transformer Pad.

If you are familiar with the Transformer Pad, then you might consider the ZenPad 10 a successor to the trend setting Transformer tablet. The ZenPad 10 is more budget focused, but it does have the keyboard dock accessory just like the Transformer Pad. It also has something even more special which is Z Stylus compatability.

The ZenPad 10 is available for a price of anywhere from $157 US to $179 US, making it virtually unbeatable for this budget range of Android tablets. For Asus to attain a low price point, compromises needed to be made which I will discuss in this review. Keep in mind that you’re still getting a lot of versatility and some features that simply aren’t available from other tablets in this price range.

This review is going to approach the ZenPad 10 for what it is. It’s a 10-inch budget Android tablet that has an unbeatable price point.

Note: We don’t yet have the Audio Dock keyboard accessory and it will not be part of this review.

Software update (V4.4.1.0) rolls out for ZenPad 10

We are just in the finishing touches of our ZenPad 10 review and Asus has rolled out a new update. I guess we will have to spend a bit more time to see what this new update is all about and if it requires us to edit the review.

The software update is WW_V4.4.1.0-20151027 which is new enough that Asus hasn’t updated the particulars yet on their website.

It’s worth mentioning that software updates may not happen immediately to your ZenPad tablet. Call it a delayed reaction if you like. Keep your ZenPad connected to wifi and these updates will come. There are usually some goodies involved to the updates are exciting for nerds like us.

We will post some notes as soon as possible regarding this latest ZenPad 10 software update.
