The build quality is more premium this time around and it does look great. It has an all metal unibody design. The processor is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 @ 1.8GHz, along with an Adreno 510GPU. A surprise might be the 16GB storage, but you do have the microSD card slot for additional storage of up to 128GB. You get 3GB RAM, a display resolution is 2048 x 1536 along with a 4680 mAh battery. The rear camera is improved to a 13MP and a front 5MP which is going to make aspiring YouTubers happy. There is not a finger print sensor, which is an obvious cost saving measure. Asus touts this tablet as having the world’s thinnest bezel which means more screen and less size. The ZenPad Z8s weighs 306g and is 6.9mm thin. Rounding out the specs, the Z8s comes with Android Nougat 7.0 operating system.
Early Review:
A kind site visitor Kevin bought a ZenPad Z8s from Verizon and shared his thoughts. Thanks Kevin!
I picked up this tablet yesterday, and I am highly impressed. It looks
and feels and performs far in excess of its price. My biggest worry
was the paltry storage, 16Gb, but I overcame that issue by enabling
adoptable storage through adb. Amazing screen quality given the modest
price.
