The ZenPad S 8.0 is the premium Android tablet series from Asus. The Z580C is essentially the second best ZenPad in terms of specs and sells for a very cheap price of $199 USD. This particular model has the Intel Z3530 @ 1.3GHz, 32GB storage and 2GB of RAM. We have a review coming, but here is an unboxing and first impressions.
First Impressions of the Asus Z580C
You don’t need to hold a competitors 8-inch tablet to know that the Z580C is very thin and very light. It’s right up there with the other flagship tablets on the market right now. Once you unbox it and hold it, you realize it’s a great feeling tablet. In terms of cosmetics and looks, the ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580C) is beautiful. Although it’s a plastic made device, it’s not going to feel or look cheap. There are a few different patterns and feels on the back and side of the Z580C, all of which work very well together. If you look, there is a leathery looking strip on the rear of the tablet which provides a nice grippy feel. That same texture/material runs around the edges of the tablet which again provides a nice grippy feeling.
So our first impressions? Thin, light and nice looking! Look for our review in the next few days.
